Julie, My Thanksgiving Blessing

I was sitting wrapped in front of the fireplace of my Afghan tea. Chills ran up and down my back and my head felt as if someone had uploaded stones at them. E 'was Monday, about ten years ago. Thanksgiving lurking around the corner. I knew I had to make a decision. My heart wanted to go home to prepare a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner in my new yellow double-decker, but my body was not set.

I called my daughter, Julie, and I was told that I onlycould not. The flu had me trapped in his claws of fire and would not let go. Julie replied immediately that they like, but I had Thanksgiving recipes? Julie had never tried. (This was years ago, now she is an experienced party entertainer for sure.)

I assured Julie, I would write everything I could think of Thanksgiving, to ensure that they do not get caught with unexpected surprises, and expireTime.

I sipped my tea and began to write. This is what I said:

(1) Make a menu. Assign each family member to bring one or more terms. Keep a list of what each person brings. When I host Thanksgiving, I usually let someone else prepare the things that consume time, such as deserts. My son-in-law and daughter, Anissa, and Chuck used to bring in many different flavors of cheesecake home ..... It is so delicious!

(2) Do your shopping on Tuesday, with the fullList of all terms.

(3) Start the thaw Turkey on Tuesday. We accumulate a large cooler of polystyrene.

(4) Also on Tuesday: Cut the onions and celery. In container and refrigerate zipper. Cook and cranberry sauce in the refrigerator (I use are the recipe on the package of cranberries, the aroma, how to cook cranberries is wonderful!)

(5) Wednesday - is not included in sauce, cooked eggs, go ahead and cook the eggs, fine cut, cover andrefrigerate. They are like cornbread dressing, biscuits, cookies and bake the cornbread s today. (I give you my recipe) I think the cornbread and biscuits in the oven after cooking.

(6) Wednesday, too: I make angel biscuits and refrigerate. (I will also give you this recipe.) Wash your laundry, and when they need it. Make sure you have enough of everything. If you change overnight guests, and wash the leaves with him to put last minute touches Room

(7)The first thing in the morning the table: Thursday.

(8) Come as guests, if they help, they do!

(9) Promise you and your guests can relax and go with the flo. Pat yourself on the back. You did it!

My menu is usually:

Turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, cream Squash Casserole, Betty Bragg apple cranberry casserole, fresh green beans and biscuits Angel. All these recipes can to Frannie fantastic recipes are available free here (on the navigation bar) or[HTTP: / / www.goodcharacterpress.com/id12.html]

Have fun with your children. It 's the perfect time to read the story of Pollyanna. A good feature is grateful for everything we have. To update click this http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/pollyanna/synopsis.html heartbreaking story. 1960 - also would be fun to buy (or rent) the CD version with Haley Mills and Jane Wymanhttp://www.amazon.ca/Pollyanna-Widescreen-Discs-David-Swift/dp/B00005RRGB.

Another good activity for you and your child for toys that have passed them and go sit next to some children in need. Let your child get the necessary assistance for toys and a large part of this process. He or she feels so good to do this. There are many places to pick up the toys around the holidays and no doubt the gratitude as your child understand all the toys that will be examinedhe added.

Maybe we should all play the "glad game" that Pollyanna promoted and our blessings. I know I have many, many wonderful blessings in my life.

Happy Thanksgiving. May bless and be blessed!

Oh, and if you're wondering, Julie had a beautiful, delicious Thanksgiving dinner (I was well enough to participate and so far!)
